D. 英語全國46級與英語專業48級的區別
一、組織方不同
1、英語全國46級：是教育部主管的一項全國性的英語考試。
2、英語專業回48級：全國高答校英語專業考試。
二、考試目的不同
1、英語全國46級：目的是對大學生的實際英語能力進行客觀、准確的測量，為大學英語教學提供測評服務。
2、英語專業48級：是全面檢查已學完英語專業課程的學生是否達到教學大綱所規定的各項要求，考核學生運用各項基本技能的能力以及學生對語法結構和詞語用法的掌握程度，既測試學生的綜合能力，也測試學生的單項技能。同時，也是評估教學質量，推動校際交流的一種手段。
三、考試內容不同
1、英語全國46級：在考試內容和形式上，四、六級考試將加大聽力理解部分的題量和比例，增加快速閱讀理解測試，增加非選擇性試題的比例。
2、英語專業48級：屬於尺度參照性標准化考試。考試的范圍包括基礎階段教學大綱所規定的一至四級除讀音和說的技能以外的全部內容。口試採取機考模式，考點將考生答題音頻處理後送至閱卷中心集體批閱。

I. 英語分幾個等級
面向在校大學生的英語等級考試有以下幾種：
《高等學校英語應用能力考試》面向專科生，分為A、B級（也被稱為大學英語二、三級）
《成人高等教育本科英語考試》（學位英語）面向成人本科生（也被稱為成人英語三級）
《大學英語等級考試》面向非英語專業本科生，分為四、六級
《專業英語等級考試》面向英語專業本科生，分為四、八級
大體難度排名：專業英語八級＞專業英語四級＞大學英語六級＞大學英語四級＞成人英語三級＞大學英語三級＞大學英語二級
再有就是《全國英語等級考試》（PETS考試）面向全體社會，分為一至五級，一級B相當於小學畢業，一級相當於初中畢業，二級相當於高中畢業，三級相當於大學英語四級，四級相當於大學英語六級，五級相當於專業英語四級

注意事項
1、考生在報名時填寫《報名卡》或以其他形式按報名點要求提供相關信息，按規定履行各項手續，隨後還要按當地考試機構指定的時間和地點領取《准考證》和《考試通知單》，否則依然無法參加考試。考生報名時要認真核驗《准考證》上的信息內容，有錯誤時應及時要求報名點更改。
2、開考前一天，考生最好先到《考試通知單》上所安排的考試地點，熟悉自己所在的考場。
3、考試時考生應嚴格遵守《考生守則》並聽從監考人員的指導，違反考試規定者將取消其考試成績。
4、考試前，考生一定要准備好黑色字跡的簽字筆以及2B鉛筆。考試中，不得使用其他類型的筆。
5、一級B（PETS 1B）——四級（PETS 4）共五個級別考試的報名地點由承辦該項考試的省、自治區、直轄市的教育考試機構決定，具體報名時間及地點可向他們咨詢。第五級（PETS 5，即原WSK-EPT）的報名地點在全國各WSK考點。
6、PETS考試考生報考不受地域的限制，可以跨地區報考。
7、考生要按時參加考試。筆試考生從8:30開始入場，8:45後不得入場。上午進行的口試考生從8:30開始入場，9:00後不得入場；下午進行的口試考生從13:30開始入場，14:00後不得入場。

PETS與CET
(1）從題型上，PETS有口語考試，CET沒有。PETS從各級別交際能力考察的實際需要出發設置題型，主要有：客觀性試題——多項選擇、選擇配伍；半客觀性試題——改錯、填空、簡單概括；主觀性試題——短文寫作、翻譯、口試。
（2）從實用性上，由於PETS更側重交際能力的培養，互動性學習，對學習者來講，更能全面提高英語水平，從而在實際應用中更能發揮英語的作用。
（3）從社會認可上，由於PETS是由國家教育部推出，它所具有的權威性無可置疑。而且，教育部正在大力推廣這種考試，並使之成為我國所有用人單位衡量英語專業人士英語水平的唯一標准。
（4）PETS三級大體相當於CET四級，PETS四級大體相當於CET六級，PETS五級標准相當於我國大學英語專業二年級結束時的水平。
